Oxford Shoes for Women

Oxford shoes are the classic type of low-cut, made of leather and have the iconic lace design. It's the kind of iconic article that you don't really have a clear definition of, but you know what it's called exactly when you see it. Today they are worn almost like a toned version of the ankle. They add a little toughness to your outfit but they don't look as winter-like as the ankle boots. Now let me share some of my favorite oxford shoe ideas.

Gray button top with silver Oxford shoes

I start the list with a more rare color. Don't worry, I'll be back to the classic brown or black oxford shoes soon. For this suit, just wear a gray button shirt and cuffed jeans with the shiny silver oxford shoes. This outfit would have looked super boring without silver oxford shoes.

Wear with black sweater & ripped jeans

As another comfortable stylish business suit, you can simply wear a black sweater with ripped jeans. Pair them with beige oxford shoes.

Wear with white shirt & black blazer

In other blog posts I've mentioned how ankle boots are so versatile that pairing them with your formal clothes almost always works. You can speak the same of the oxford shoes. For example, this outfit is just a typical formal work suit with the white shirt, the black blazer and the black dress pants. You can see taller and heavier, given the mood, with the ankle boots and more down to earth in the oxford boots. It is also a good idea for those who like the rough, dark feel of leather shoes but that their partners are shorter than them.

Black Long Wool Coat & Brown Oxford Shoes

For a non-clumsy winter look, you can wear brown oxford shoes with a gray sweater and a long black wool boat.

Off The Shoulder Sweater Dress

So far I've shared with you a lot of oxford shoes outfit ideas, it's probably a good time to deal with a little detail or trick that makes these clothes look so good. I will give you a tip. It's about the socks. Do you see it? The trick is that oxford shoes are usually worn with no-show socks. Don't get me wrong. They look great with ankle socks too. But they usually look best without socks because such socks make the legs look longer. Back to this idea, the outfit simply consists of the sweater dress and oxford shoes. You can see that no socks are showing, and more of the legs are showing, making them visually longer.

Brown oxford shoes with black denim shorts

As an artistic and creative way to dress to work casual, try wearing a white button-up shirt with a black blazer and black denim shorts. Wear dark brown oxfords with ankle socks.

Wear with white knitted sweater

If you are looking for a dress that is so easy to pull off but still looks decent, this one is for you. First of all, you need a white comfortable cable knit sweater. You can easily wear a white long tee in the sweater. Wear ripped cut jeans with brown oxford shoes. This can be a great suit for casual hangouts. By the way, if you like cable knit sweaters, I think you can enjoy my other blog post on how to wear cable knit sweater.

Wear with white sweater with black stripes

Oxford shoes come two colors are also very popular. For example, you can wear the blue and brown oxford shoes with a collar, a white fit shirt with black stripes and black slim jeans.

Wear with black skinny jeans and denim jacket

Wear a white t-shirt with black skinny jeans for an elegant street outfit that is especially suitable for the fall. Pair them with oxford shoes and most importantly an elegant denim jacket.

White collar shirt with black sleeveless knit sweater dress

This is such a beautiful and student-like outfit that can make you stand out. Wear a white collar shirt with a black sleeveless knit sweater dress layered over it. Complete outfit with black socks and black oxford shoes.

Gray tee, black bomber jacket and shorts

As mentioned earlier, wearing oxford shoes with no-show socks will make the legs look longer. If you wear them with shorts, your legs look 10x long. (Okay, may be 5 percent longer). Just wear a gray t-shirt with a black bomber jacket and shorts.

Oxford shoes with shirt & cardigan

This outfit is a great demonstration of using layers to add some character to your look. Wear a button up shirt with the long gray cardigan. Then wear cuffed black jeans with silver oxford shoes. This outfit, with creative use of color and layering, proves to be a stylish work suit that is perfect for designers and artists.

Wear with blue sweater & skinny jeans

For an introvert-like yet smart and beautiful look, try wearing a blue shirt over a button up shirt. Complete outfit with skinny jeans and brown oxford shoes.

Black and white sweater & white plated skirt

As a creative way to dress, wear a white sweater with random black patterns and a white plated skirt. Add a layer by wearing black leggings. Wear the elegant white oxford shoes to match flawlessly with all pieces.

Wear with Cream Knitted sweater and gray cotton skirt
